Dr. Alicia Williams, Board Member believes in the power of healing and believes that we can heal our families and communities when we begin the healing in ourselves.  Dr. Williams is a Sacramento native with a personal narrative infused with childhood trauma (ACES) and life struggles.  It was with the will and hope to change that narrative that Dr. Williams decided her biggest asset would be in education.

Dr. Williams has earned 3 undergraduate degrees while operating a locally owned and operated childcare business.  She went on to receive her master's in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College while serving her community as a County Social Worker for CPS and a Foster Agency.  She recently completed her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences from Brandman University.

Currently, Dr. Williams is employed by the San Juan Unified School district in addition to teaching college for two Universities.  In addition, Alicia has recently volunteered using her therapeutic ACES intervention with felons at Folsom State Prison. Dr. Williams is a wife, mother of four, and a lifelong learner.

Dr. Williams is a graduate of Grantland L. Johnson Institute of Leadership Development, Cohort I, August 29th, 2021.
